Helen, Gill and Teresa were members of the north-east vocal harmony group VoiceQuad along with John McNulty and the late great Mick Danby. (Former members - and occasional VoiceQuad special guests - are Claudia Simm, Maria Fernandez-Toro, and Mariano Otheguy).

The legacy goes on with Storiella’s close harmonies, great vocal blend, and eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary material.
All three members of Storiella are involved with music outside Storiella (and alongside their 'day jobs'!) - for example Helen plays saxophone in the Newcastle Concert Band; Gill is a pianist and arranger, and runs workplace choirs; Teresa has been a member of many choirs and quartets, and a backing singer. And last but not least, all three are members of the renowned Heaton Voices choir.
