Storiella is a north-east vocal trio with Helen Blades, Gill Hubbold, and Teresa Driscoll. Our material is a selection of folk, contemporary, and americana covers, inspired by artists such as The Wailin’ Jennys, Silly Sisters, the Poozies, Judie Tzuke, Kate Rusby, Jez Lowe, Sleeping At Last, and new original material. Some of Storiella’s songs are unaccompanied, some have ukulele, banjolele, shruti or glockenspiel and more!
Our gig venues in 2017/8 included the Prohibition Cabaret Bar in Gateshead, Ouseburn Farm in Newcastle, Hartlepool's Royal Navy Museum, St Mary's church and Fellside Church in Whickham, Bertram's Cafe in Warkworth, and St Teresa's Community Centre. We also love to sing at folk nights including the Smiths' Arms Folk Club and Cramlington Folk.
We've had the pleasure of performing in joint concerts with:
We' re always interested in new ideas for double (or triple!) header concerts.
Storiella has run workplace team-building workshops - if you'd like to make a booking enquiry just drop us an email.
